Tamanan Hamlet is one of the areas in Sleman Regency with a fairly high number of hypertension sufferers. Based on a preliminary study, a total of 4,217 cases of hypertension were recorded at the Kalasan Community Health Center during 2024. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between medication-taking behavior and the level of blood pressure control in hypertension sufferers in Tamanan Hamlet. This study used a descriptive correlational method with a sample of 48 respondents with hypertension selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a medication-taking behavior questionnaire and blood pressure measurements and data were taken on July 7-9, 2025. The results showed that the majority of respondents had poor medication-taking behavior as many as 41 people (85.4%) and uncontrolled blood pressure as many as 43 people (89.6%). The results of statistical tests using the Spearman test showed a p value of 0.833 for systolic blood pressure and p = 0.177 for diastolic blood pressure (p > 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between medication-taking behavior and the level of blood pressure control. Therefore, hypertension control does not only depend on medication-taking behavior, but also needs to be supported by healthy lifestyle changes, ongoing education, and adequate social and family support.
Vincensia Seklin Geovani Paulus Subiyanto Tandean Arif Wibowo Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 459 467 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2093 Hubungan Pola Pemberian Makan Terhadap Angka Kejadian Stunting di Sleman Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2095
Stunting is a condition of growth failure that occurs in toddlers due to chronic malnutrition. To date, stunting remains an unresolved nutritional problem. This condition can cause long-term problems, such as affecting the child's physical, mental, cognitive, and intellectual development. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between feeding patterns and the incidence of stunting in one village in Yogyakarta. The study used a cross-sectional method with a sample size of 127 toddlers and 127 parents of toddlers as respondents, selected using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was done using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, as well as through measuring the height of toddlers. The data was then analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of <0.05. The research results show that 18 people (52.9%), or more than half of the parents, provided their children with the correct dietary patterns, and their children did not experience stunting. Meanwhile, 71 people (76.3%), the majority of parents who provided incorrect dietary patterns, had children who experienced stunting. Statistical analysis shows a significant relationship between feeding patterns and the incidence of stunting, with a p-value of 0.002. In 2024, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reached 19.8%, which has an impact on children’s physical growth and cognitive development. Nutritional intake fulfillment, household food security, and environmental conditions, especially flood-prone areas, are important factors influencing the nutritional status of toddlers. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design involving 50 respondents who met the criteria of toddlers aged 1–5 years. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and bivariately using the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between household food security and toddlers’ nutritional status based on the height-for-age index (TB/U). Household food security was measured using a questionnaire. The results showed that male toddlers accounted for 25% and female toddlers also accounted for 25%. Based on the height-for-age index, most toddlers had normal nutritional status or were not stunted, accounting for 50%, while no toddlers were categorized as stunted or severely stunted. Parental characteristics indicated that most mothers were aged 24–36 years (30%), unemployed (35%), and had higher education levels (45%). Meanwhile, almost all fathers were employed (49%) and had higher education levels (45%). The Chi-Square test results showed a p-value of 1.000, indicating no significant relationship between household food security and toddlers’ nutritional status. Nevertheless, cross-tabulation analysis indicated a tendency that lower household food security was associated with a higher proportion of stunted toddlers. However, family economic conditions still play an important role in determining household food security in the flood-prone area of Perumahan Simalingkar, Medan.
Serlina Silalahi Hetty Gustina Simamora Barce Inel Crevis Gulo Deskrisman Stefan Mendrofa Risda Mariana Manik Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 478 487 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2096 Hubungan Perilaku Sedentary Terhadap Penumpukan Adiposa Pada Remaja di Pondok Pesantren Bogor https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2097 Salma Febriska Marciano Maria Lousiana Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 488 496 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2097 Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kelengkapan Imunisasi Dasar Lengkap pada Bayi di Puskesmas Tanah Abang Kabupaten PALI https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2098
Immunization is one of the most effective public health interventions for preventing infectious diseases by inducing protective immunity through vaccination. Complete basic immunization in infants is essential to protect them from vaccine-preventable diseases that can result in severe morbidity, disability, or death. However, coverage of complete basic immunization remains suboptimal in several settings, including the service area of Tanah Abang Primary Health Care Center, Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) Regency. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the completeness of basic immunization in infants at Tanah Abang Public Health Center in PALI Regency in 2025, particularly in relation to mothers' knowledge, attitudes, and family support. The type of research used was quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The population of the study included all mothers with infants aged 9–18 months and the sample used total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through a structured questionnaire, then analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test. The univariate analysis results showed a relationship between knowledge, attitude, and family support simultaneously with the completeness of basic immunization. Meanwhile, the bivariate results showed a partial relationship between each variable. The factor of maternal knowledge was significantly related to immunization completeness with a p-value of 0.000. The factor of maternal attitude was also proven to be related with a p-value of 0.013. In addition, family support had a significant effect with a p-value of 0.000. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that knowledge, attitude, and family support play an important role in determining the completeness of basic immunization for infants. Therefore, health workers are expected to increase educational activities, provide counseling, and actively involve families to encourage the achievement of optimal basic immunization coverage.
Dita Dita Intan Sari Eka Rahmawati Rini Gustina Sari Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 497 504 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2098 Hubungan Mutu Pelayanan Kesehatan Terhadap Kepuasan Pasien BPJS Rawat Inap Kelas III di RSUD OKU Timur https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2101
"Quality healthcare services are key to achieving patient satisfaction. However, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia remains low, at 36,9%. Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy (BSE), or a mother’s confidence in her ability to breastfeed, is a factor that may be associated with the breastfeeding experience, including maternal satisfaction. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between BSE and breastfeeding satisfaction among breastfeeding mothers in the catchment area of Primary Health Center Buleleng II. A correlational study with a cross-sectional approach was conducted. A total of 40 breastfeeding mothers were selected through purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were collected using the Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale–Short Form (BSES-SF) and the Maternal Breastfeeding Evaluation Scale (MBES) questionnaires. Bivariate analysis to assess the relationship between total BSE scores and total breastfeeding satisfaction scores was performed using the pearson correlation test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that 72,5% of respondents had low BSE and 62,5% had low breastfeeding satisfaction. Descriptively, 65,5% of mothers with low BSE also reported low breastfeeding satisfaction. However, correlation analysis indicated no significant relationship between BSE and breastfeeding satisfaction (r=0,151; p=0,354). These findings suggest that breastfeeding satisfaction is not determined solely by BSE but may also be influenced by other factors such as social support and environmental conditions. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach, including strengthening social support and implementing breastfeeding-friendly policies, is needed to improve mothers breastfeeding experiences and success.
Made Ririn Sri Wulandari Ketut Espana Giri Ketut Suardana Putu Windy Astuti Komang Alit Suriyasmini Novia Ayu Lestari Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 535 544 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2104 Fenomenologi: Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) pada Remaja di Lingkungan Padat Penduduk https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2105
Clean and Healthy Living Behavior is essential for disease prevention and improving adolescents’ quality of life. Nursing students are a group vulnerable to high stress due to the need to balance heavy academic demands and professional preparation in the health field. This study aims to describe self-harm behavior among students in the Bachelor of Nursing Program. The method used is quantitative descriptive with a population of 743 students and a sample of 260 respondents selected through Stratified Random Sampling. The instrument in this study is the Indonesian version of the Deliberate Self-Harm Inventory (DSHI), which has undergone validity and reliability testing. The study was conducted in January 2026 at one of the universities located in the Jatinangor area, Sumedang Regency, Indonesia. The results showed that 54.2% of respondents reported having engaged in self-harm, with the most common behaviors including intentionally interfering with wound healing, scratching the skin until bleeding, and biting the skin. These behaviors were more frequently reported among female students, senior students, and those living away from their families. This study found that more than half of undergraduate nursing students had engaged in self-harm, with behaviors that tended to be subtle and hidden, functioning as maladaptive coping mechanisms in response to academic and emotional stress. These behaviors were more commonly observed among female students, early-year students, and those living away from their families, highlighting the need to strengthen mental health promotion programs, early detection efforts, and accessible counseling services within the campus environment.
Fatima Muthia Adyanie Imas Rafiyah Sukma Senjaya Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 549 556 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2106 Analisis Framing Kesehatan Mental Di Kota Bahagia https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2110
This study analyzes the framing of mass media regarding the mental health paradox in Jakarta, which has been designated a "Happy City." Prevalence data reveals a striking contradiction: the prevalence of depression in Jakarta reaches 1.5% (higher than the national average of 1.4%), with general mental health disorders at 2.2%. The Free Health Check (Cek Kesehatan Gratis/CKG) screening survey even found that 2.99% of residents potentially experience depressive symptoms. However, only 12.7% of those with depression seek treatment, with social stigma being the main barrier. This paradox reflects a misalignment between the positive image and the grim reality, exacerbated by social stigma, urban life pressures, and limited access to services. The research type used is qualitative, employing the research method of framing analysis based on Robert M. Entman's model. This method was applied to analyze online news articles from November-December 2025 to reveal how the media defines the problem, diagnoses causes, makes moral judgments, and suggests solutions. Using Robert Entman's framing model, this study explores how these media articles construct narratives through framing elements. The findings reveal two dominant frames: 1) The "Crisis and Irony" frame, which constructs the paradox as a failure of the 'happy city' title's legitimacy and emphasizes systemic causes such as stigma and urban pressure; and 2) The "Defense and Impression Management" frame, normalized by official narratives, which shifts the issue to a public misunderstanding and offers reactive solutions based on existing services like JakCare. This study reveals the implications of this framing for public perception, health policies, and anti-stigma advocacy, with recommendations for educational campaigns and preventive policy interventions. The novelty of the research lies in the application of Entman's model within the Indonesian urban context, providing insights for more effective health communication.
Prasetyo Adinugroho Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 557 576 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2110 Simulasi Proteus Rangkaian Kendali Vibrator Terapi Otot Leher Berbasis Arduino https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2111
Terdiri dalam bahasa inggris serta satu alinea, mencakup masalah, tujuan, metode, hasil dan kesimpulan, pada point ini tanpa di bolt atau italic. [Font Times New Roman 10 bold] Neck muscle tension and pain are common health problems caused by non-ergonomic work postures, prolonged static activity, and excessive use of electronic devices. One common non-pharmacological method used to reduce these complaints is vibration therapy using a vibrator. However, a stable, safe, and programmable control system is required for the therapy to work optimally. This study aims to design and simulate an Arduino-based neck muscle therapy vibrator control circuit using Proteus software. The research methods include literature review, system block diagram design, electronic circuit design, Arduino microcontroller programming, and circuit simulation using Proteus to test system performance. The control system was designed using Arduino as the main controller, a motor driver module as the vibrator power regulator, and the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) method to regulate the vibration intensity. The simulation results show that the control circuit is able to regulate the speed and vibration pattern of the vibrator according to the specified program, and works stably without excessive voltage disturbances on the components. In addition, the simulation proves that the use of Proteus is effective in visualizing and analyzing system performance before being realized in hardware form. The conclusion of this study is that the Proteus simulation of the Arduino-based neck muscle therapy vibrator control circuit can be used as an efficient and economical initial stage in the development of a controlled and safe vibration therapy device.
Pebri Prihatmoko Victor Novianto Kunnu Purwanto Amirul Fickri Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 577 584 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2111 Hubungan Antara Indeks Massa Tubuh Pra-Maternal Dengan Menyusui Eksklusif Di Puskesmas Ritaebang Kab. This study aimed to determine the relationship between pre-maternal BMI and exclusive breastfeeding. This study employed a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 77 mothers with children aged 6 months to 1 year, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at Puskesmas Ritaebang from November to December 2024. Data collection was carried out over two days in accordance with the integrated health post (posyandu) schedule, starting on December 9, 2024. Self-efficacy plays a role as an internal factor that can influence students' ability to cope with these pressures. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic burnout in accounting students. This study used a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach, the sampling technique using total sampling with a sample of 91 accounting students in Yogyakarta. The instruments used were the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES-10) and the School Burnout Inventory (SBI-9). Data analysis used the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of the data analysis showed that the majority of respondents had a high level of self-efficacy, but most also experienced academic burnout in the high category. The Spearman Rank correlation test produced p <0.001 with a correlation coefficient of 0.425, which indicates a significant positive relationship with a moderate strength of the relationship between self-efficacy and academic burnout. The higher the self-efficacy of accounting students, the greater the risk of experiencing burnout. This happens because strong self-confidence often encourages students to force themselves to achieve academic targets without paying attention to the limits of emotional exhaustion, so that coping resources that should protect them actually turn into triggers for vulnerability to burnout. These findings indicate that the relationship between self-efficacy and burnout is contextual and not always linear-negative as widely reported in previous literature, thus providing theoretical contributions by expanding the understanding of the dynamics of personal resources in students with high academic demands, where self-efficacy can play an adaptive or maladaptive role depending on the individual's self-regulation abilities.
Diah Amelya Sio Sutejo Sutejo Prastiwi Puji Rahayu Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 596 605 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2113 Peranan Sense of Humor dan Dukungan Atasan terhadap Stres Kerja Perawat https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2114
Nurses are at high risk of experiencing work-related stress due to heavy workloads, complex clinical demands, and responsibilities for patient safety. Prolonged stress without proper management may negatively affect nurses’ mental health and the quality of healthcare services, highlighting the importance of examining effective stress management mechanisms. This study aimed to analyze and compare the roles of sense of humor as an internal coping mechanism and supervisor support as an external factor in relation to nurses’ work stress. This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The population consisted of nurses working in Palembang. The study was conducted from April to June 2024, with a sample of 114 respondents selected based on participant criteria using accidental sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale and analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results showed that sense of humor and supervisor support simultaneously had a significant effect on work stress (p < 0.05). Partially, sense of humor did not have a significant effect on work stress (p = 0.864; p > 0.05), whereas supervisor support had a significant effect on work stress (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that external factors, particularly supervisor support, play a more dominant role than internal factors in managing nurses’ work stress. The practical implication highlights the need for a shift from reactive to preventive managerial approaches through strengthening systematic and sustainable supportive leadership
Ongko Handoko Theresia Widyastuti Stepanus Sigit Pranoto Kevin Alexander Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 606 615 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2114 Pengaruh Slow Stroke Back Massage Terhadap Tekanan Darah pada Pasien Stroke https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2115
Stroke currently ranks third among the ten leading causes of death worldwide. Stroke occurs due to brain damage caused by reduced cerebral perfusion. The body increases blood pressure as a compensatory mechanism, triggering uncontrolled hypertension. Uncontrolled hypertension increases the risk of hemorrhagic transformation, cerebral edema, and worsens the prognosis. High blood pressure also triggers further bleeding or hemorrhagic transformation, which increases the likelihood of long-term disability and death. One non-pharmacological management method for controlling blood pressure is slow-stroke back massage in stroke patients. This technique is a gentle massage technique performed slowly and rhythmically on the back area, starting from the base of the neck to the waist, using both palms. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of slow-stroke back massage on blood pressure in stroke patients. This study used a pre-experimental research design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sampling technique was accidental sampling, with a total of 18 respondents. Data were taken from measurements and observations of research subjects using observation sheets and SSBM SOP sheets. The analysis technique used the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a Z value of -2.508 with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.012 (p < 0.05). This finding indicates a significant difference in diastolic blood pressure between before and after treatment. There is an effect of slow-stroke back massage on blood pressure in stroke patients. Based on these results, it is hoped that education on the correct slow-stroke back massage technique can be provided so that it can be performed independently at home as a supportive therapy for blood pressure control, of course after receiving guidance from a health professional
Miftah Apriani, Dewi Ciselia Ria Wulandari Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 616 621 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2115 Efektivitas Program Terapi Pada Pasien Pasca Operasi Rekontruksi Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2123 Alfitri Yana Yunita Dwi Suci Asriani Afifah Cahayani Adha Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 622 629 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2123 Pengaruh Pemberian Rebusan Daun Salam Dengan Pasien Hipertensi Pada Lansia Dipanti Boarding Care Noor Fatimah Kota Palembang Tahun 2025 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2130
The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2023 showed that the number of people with hypertension globally reached 33%, meaning that 1 in 3 people suffer from hypertension. However, current approaches to early detection tend to be partial and not integrated across phases of midwifery care. This study aims to develop a conceptual model for early detection of postpartum hemorrhage emergencies based on continuity of care in midwifery practice. This study used a qualitative approach with a theoretical or conceptual research design through literature analysis and synthesis. Data sources were obtained from PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar databases using relevant keywords. The selection process was carried out systematically based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 15 articles for analysis. Data analysis was carried out through stages of conceptual analysis, thematic synthesis, and theoretical integration to develop a conceptual model. The results show that early detection of postpartum hemorrhage emergencies is a longitudinal process, involving the integration of risk factors, clinical indicators, and clinical decision-making within a continuity of care framework. The resulting model consists of three main components: input (risk factors), process (continuous monitoring and clinical decision-making), and output (timely clinical response). This model positions midwives as central actors in integrating information and determining necessary actions. The study concluded that the continuity of care-based early detection model provides a more comprehensive framework than previous episodic approaches. This model has important implications for improving the quality of midwifery care and reducing the risk of complications and maternal mortality due to postpartum hemorrhage.
Romlah Romlah Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 673 683 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2134 Hubungan Kesehatan Mental dengan Motivasi Belajar Siswa SMP di Kota Palembang https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2135 Vincencius Surani Eka Dina Aulia Elisabeth Erly Frida Hasugian Teresia Sri Sumiyati Lilik Pranata Afeus Halawa Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 684 693 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2135 Gambaran Stres Akademik dan Kejadian Sleep paralysis pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Padjadjaran https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2136
Academic stress is a condition of psychological pressure resulting from an imbalance between academic demands and an individual’s ability to cope with them. Nursing students are particularly vulnerable to academic stress due to heavy academic workloads and the demands of clinical practice. Unmanaged academic stress can negatively affect physical and mental health, one of which is triggering sleep disturbances such as sleep paralysis. This study aimed to describe the level of academic stress and the incidence of sleep paralysis among nursing students. This study employed a quantitative descriptive design involving 279 active undergraduate nursing students from the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Padjadjaran, selected using proportional stratified random sampling. The study was conducted from 22 to 31 December 2025 and lasted for 10 days. The research instruments included the Perceived Academic Stress Scale (PASS) to measure academic stress and a sleep paralysis questionnaire. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis through frequency distributions, percentages, mean values, and standard deviations. The results showed that nearly half of the students experienced moderate academic stress, with 117 students (41.9%). The most dominant dimension of academic stress was academic demands related to coursework and examinations. In addition, almost all respondents, namely 259 students (92.8%), reported having experienced sleep paralysis. The conclusion of this study indicates that moderate levels of academic stress and the occurrence of sleep paralysis are common among nursing students. Therefore, promotive and preventive efforts are needed through the implementation of academic stress management strategies and sleep health education to support students’ well-being and academic performance.
Della Yasinta Putri Indra Maulana Eka Afirma Sari Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 694 702 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2136 Pengaruh Edukasi Kesehatan Terhadap Perubahan Perilaku Konsumsi Tablet Tambah Darah Pada Mahasiswa Kebidanan https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2140
Iron supplement tablets are one of the important efforts to prevent anemia among midwifery students as future health professionals. Health promotion efforts are one strategy for improving pregnant women’s understanding. This study aims to analyze the effect of health promotion on reproductive health knowledge among pregnant women in the first, second, and third trimesters. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design employing a one-group pretest-posttest design and accidental sampling. The intervention in this study is health promotion using leaflets, which will be distributed to respondents after they take the pretest; they will then be evaluated (posttest) using a questionnaire. The study was conducted at the Sukarami Community Health Center in Palembang in April 2026 with a sample size of 30 respondents. The results showed an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women following the health promotion intervention. In the pretest, most respondents had adequate knowledge (12 people, 40%), followed by the “insufficient” category (10 people, 33.3%), and the “good” category (8 people, 26.7%). After the intervention, there was a significant increase in the “good” category to 20 respondents (66.7%), while the ‘adequate’ category decreased to 8 respondents (26.7%) and the “poor” category decreased to 2 respondents (6.6%). The results of the statistical analysis show a p-value of <0.05, indicating that health promotion has a significant effect on improving the knowledge of pregnant women. This transition may trigger psychological difficulties, including impostor syndrome, a condition characterized by persistent feelings of unworthiness despite one’s achievements. Such experiences may negatively affect situational self-esteem, which refers to self-evaluation that changes depending on context and personal experiences. Therefore, examining situational self-esteem during the early transition to university is important. This study aimed to examine the relationship between impostor syndrome and situational self-esteem among first-yearstudents during the early transition period of university life. A quantitative study with a descriptive cross-sectional correlational design was conducted over 16 days, from December 11 to 27, 2025. The population consisted of all first-year students in the Faculty of Nursing, class of 2025, at a public university in Indonesia, with a total sample of 253 students (participation rate: 96.9%). Data were collected using the Indonesian versions of the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) and the State Self-Esteem Scale (SSES), both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Descriptive statistics and Spearman’s correlation test were used for data analysis. The findings showed that (48.6%) of students experienced severe or frequent impostor syndrome while (47.0%) had moderate situational self-esteem. A moderate negative correlation was found between impostor syndrome and situational self-esteem among new students (r = -0.478; p < 0.001). Poor glycemic control, reflected by HbA1c levels, can increase systemic inflammation, as indicated by the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and other inflammatory markers, thereby exacerbating the risk of complications. This review aims to examine the relationship between HbA1c levels and ESR in patients with T2DM, including the influence of hypertension status, and its implications for complication prevention. Literature related to T2DM, HbA1c, ESR, inflammation, hypertension, and diabetic complications was reviewed through PubMed, ScienceDirect, and national repositories. The studies analyzed included observational analytical, prospective cohort, cross-sectional, and nutritional intervention and supplementation studies in patients with T2DM. The results indicate that high HbA1c levels are significantly associated with increased ESR and other inflammatory markers, which impact the progression of diabetic complications such as retinopathy, nephropathy, neuropathy, diabetic ulcers, and cardiovascular risk. Hypertension as a comorbidity worsens the inflammatory profile. Nutritional interventions, lifestyle, weight control, and certain supplementation have been shown to help reduce HbA1c and inflammation. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between HbA1c levels and ESR in patients with T2DM, especially when analyzed by hypertension status. Routine monitoring of HbA1c and ESR, along with management of hypertension and lifestyle factors, can help identify high-risk patients and prevent long-term complications.
Hotmaria Simanullang Tiarnida Nababan Refi Ikhtiari Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 790 799 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2150 Faktor-Faktor yang Memengaruhi Kepatuhan Masyarakat terhadap Peraturan Daerah Kawasan Tanpa Rokok di Lingkungan Puskesmas Bestari Medan https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2151
Smoking is a major risk factor for various chronic diseases, with the prevalence of adult smokers in Indonesia reaching around 34.5% or more than 70 million people. Although the Smoke-Free Area (KTR) policy has been implemented, violations are still found, including at the Bestari Community Health Center in Medan, which in 2025 still recorded 243 smokers out of 1,026 screening participants. This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach carried out in the Bestari Community Health Center working area in Medan City from July 2025 to February 2026. The study population was 278 smoker visitors who participated in smoking behavior screening, with a sample size of 75 respondents determined through purposive sampling techniques. In Indonesia, particularly in South Sumatra and the working area of Sumaja Makmur Public Health Center, Muara Enim Regency, the prevalence of anemia among pregnant women is still relatively high, highlighting the need to identify contributing risk factors. High parity may increase the risk of anemia due to repeated pregnancies and childbirth that deplete maternal iron stores without adequate recovery time. Non-adherence to iron (Fe) tablet consumption also contributes to anemia, as iron requirements increase during pregnancy to support fetal growth and expanded maternal blood volume. In addition, family income influences nutritional intake and access to health services. This study aimed to determine the relationship between parity, adherence to iron tablet consumption, and family income with the incidence of anemia among pregnant women. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 50 pregnant women selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test at a 95 percent significance level. The results showed significant relationships between parity and anemia (p=0.005), adherence to iron tablet consumption and anemia (p=0.001), and family income and anemia (p=0.012). In conclusion, parity, adherence to iron tablet consumption, and family income are significantly associated with anemia among pregnant women. Strengthening nutritional education, monitoring iron tablet adherence, and addressing socioeconomic conditions are recommended to prevent anemia in pregnancy.
Widia Ningsih Bina Aquari Rizki Amalia Erma Puspita Sari Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 845 857 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2163 Hubungan Kepatuhan Minum Obat dengan Kualitas Hidup Pasien Asam Urat di UPTD Puskesmas Batumarta II https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2164
Gout arthritis is a disease caused by purine metabolism disorders characterized by increased uric acid levels in the blood, causing pain and inflammation in the joints. Metformin has long been used as an insulin-sensitizing agent in PCOS management; however, its limited tolerability and inconsistent effects on reproductive outcomes have encouraged the exploration of alternative therapies, including myo-inositol. This literature review aims to analyze the effectiveness of metformin and myo-inositol on metabolic and reproductive outcomes in patients with PCOS. The review was conducted through a systematic search of scientific articles in PubMed, Scopus, and ScienceDirect databases using keywords related to PCOS, metformin, myo-inositol, insulin resistance, menstrual cycle, ovulation, and androgen levels. Included studies were clinical studies published within the last ten years that met the predefined inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that both metformin and myo-inositol are effective in improving insulin resistance and metabolic parameters, although responses vary depending on body mass index and PCOS phenotype. Metformin appears to be more beneficial in PCOS patients with obesity and significant glycemic disturbances, whereas myo-inositol demonstrates better tolerability and benefits in certain reproductive outcomes, particularly in patients with normal body mass index and those undergoing assisted reproductive technologies. Several studies also suggest that combination therapy may offer additional benefits in selected patient groups, although it is not consistently superior to monotherapy. In conclusion, no single therapy is optimal for all PCOS patients; therefore, the choice between metformin and myo-inositol should be individualized based on the patient’s metabolic profile and clinical goals
Tegar Wulandari Putri Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 906 915 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2169 Hubungan Perawatan Payudara, Frekuensi Menyusui, dan Pola Istirahat Terhadap Kelancaran Pengeluaran Asi pada Ibu Nifas https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2171 Tarisa Tarisa Ratna Dewi Merisa Riski Siti Aisyah Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 916 931 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2171 Faktor-Faktor yang Berhungan dengan Kejadian Pernikahan Dini di Desa Lubuk Bintialo https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2172
areas. Bivariate analysis indicated that education (p = 0.016), occupation (p = 0.002), and type of disease (p = 0.019) were significantly associated with outpatient satisfaction. Multivariate analysis revealed that occupation was the most influential factor affecting outpatient satisfaction, with an odds ratio (OR) of 2.953.These findings indicate that patient characteristics, particularly employment status, play an important role in shaping the level of satisfaction with outpatient pharmaceutical services. Therefore, efforts to improve the quality of pharmaceutical services should focus on service time efficiency, enhancement of medication counseling quality, and effective communication between pharmacists and patients.
Wasila Yanuarti Faiza Yuniati Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 964 973 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2175 Pengaruh Prenatal Yoga Terhadap Peningkatan Kualitas Tidur Ibu Hamil https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2176
Due to the physical and psychological changes that occur during pregnancy, pregnant women often experience poor sleep quality. One non-pharmacological method for improving sleep quality is prenatal yoga. The aim of the study conducted by TPMB Ziandta Baturaja in 2025 was to determine how prenatal yoga affects the sleep quality of pregnant women. In this study, a pre-experimental design was used with a single pretest-posttest group comprising 30 pregnant women. The prenatal yoga intervention was assessed both before and after the intervention. The Wilcoxon test was used to analyse the data. The results of the study showed that the majority of pregnant women had poor sleep quality prior to the prenatal yoga intervention (70.0%), but following the intervention, 83.3% of respondents experienced an improvement in sleep quality. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the average sleep quality decreased from 1.70 to 1.16, meaning this study found that prenatal yoga significantly improved the sleep quality of pregnant women. This finding is consistent with previous research over the last five years (2021–2024), which found that prenatal yoga effectively improves sleep quality in pregnant women. Therefore, prenatal yoga can be recommended as a non-pharmacological method to help pregnant women receive better care.
Willy Astriana Ramayani Ramayani Vivin Paichia Pitri Ola Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 974 981 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2176 Gambaran Bakteri Escherichia Coli pada Makanan Jajanan Olahan di SDN 109 Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Multiwahana Palembang https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2177 Novika Mardia Saputri Maria Ulfah Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 982 990 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2177 Pengaruh Relaksasi Otot Progresif Terhadap Fatigue Pada Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik Menjalankan Hemodialisa: Sebuah Tinjauan Sistematis https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2178
Chroniic kiidneiy diiseiasei (CKD) iis a publiic heialth iissuei characteiriizeid by peirmaneint loss of kiidneiy functiion and iits iimpact on many organs and body systeims such as anemia, loss of appetite, fatigue, and edema. Prevention efforts can be done through providing education using learning media that is interesting and easily understood by students. Objectives: This study aims to determine the comparison between Powtoon animation videos and motion graphic videos in increasing students' knowledge about dental caries. Methods: The research design used was a quasi experiment with a two-group pretest-post-test design. The sample consisted of 32 students who were randomly divided into two groups, each of which received treatment in the form of playing powtoon animated videos and motion graphic videos. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. Results : showed that the average ranking of the increase in student knowledge scores in the group using motion graphic videos was consistently higher than the group using Powtoon animated videos, with significance values of 0.017; 0.000; and 0.043 (p < 0.05), respectively. This indicates a statistically significant difference between the two media at all three measurement stages. Conclusion: It can be concluded that motion graphic video media is more effective than powtoon animation video in increasing students' knowledge about dental caries. The use of visual media that is dynamic, interactive, and informative is proven to be an effective way to increase students' knowledge about dental caries.
Mujiyati Mujiyati Nur Adiba Hanum Anggie Anestriyani Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 1002 1007 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2179 Laktasi Digital Asistensi (LADIA) sebagai Inovasi Teknologi dalam Konseling dan Informasi Laktasi https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/2188
Exclusive breastfeeding is a key factor in improving infant health and growth, as well as supporting the second (Zero Hunger) and third (Good Health and Well-being) Sustainable Development Goals. The World Health Organization (2023) reported a decline in the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia from 69.7% in 2021 to 67.96% in 2022. Barriers to exclusive breastfeeding are influenced by limited access to accurate information and a lack of access to lactation counseling with healthcare professionals. Amidst technological advancements, digital innovations for lactation counseling are necessary to expand access to and support for breastfeeding. This study aims to identify scientific evidence regarding the potential of Digital Lactation Assistance (LADIA), an innovative technological intervention. A literature search was conducted on PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar. Additional searches were performed through relevant publisher and journal websites (BMC/Springer) with a publication range of the last five years (2019–2024). The search strategy utilized Boolean operators: (“pregnant women” OR “breastfeeding mothers”) AND (“direct counseling” OR “digital counseling”) AND (“exclusive breastfeeding”). The retrieved articles were selected and reviewed using the PRISMA guidelines and flowchart. Out of 99,887 identified records, 11 articles met the inclusion criteria for narrative synthesis. Digital-based lactation counseling was found to be more flexible and accessible than face-to-face counseling, demonstrating the potential to increase breastfeeding motivation and continuation across several studies. However, some simple interventions (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram, Phone Calls/SMS) lacked adequate interactive features. One article indicated that telelactation services are effective for mothers who lack the confidence to engage in face-to-face counseling. Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) regarding Digital Lactation Assistance (LADIA) shows potential in improving exclusive breastfeeding rates. Further development of interactive features and user feedback is required to optimize digital counseling applications
Putu Windy Astuti Made Ririn Sri Wulandari Komang Alit Suryasmini Novia Ayu Lestari Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 9 2 1008 1022 10.32524/jksp.v9i2.2188
