Every CS is performed under spinal anesthesia, because spinal anesthesia is the standard method of elective CS anesthesia globally. Surgery poses an actual or potential threat that can cause psychological and physiological stress. When facing surgery, patients will experience various stressors that cause anxiety and fear, even the waiting period can cause anxiety. Anxiety will cause physical and psychological changes that can activate the sympathetic autonomic nervous system, resulting in increased heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing, which in general will reduce the patient's energy level, which will impact the operation and the healing process after surgery. Murottal Al-Qur'an has a positive influence on its listeners. Murottal Al-Qur'an Surah Ar-Rahman is recited with a rhythmic and lilting tone, so it can increase a sense of calm and comfort so that feelings of fear and anxiety are reduced. Objective: To determine the effect of providing murrotal Quran on preoperative anxiety in CS patients with spinal anesthesia at Dr. Soekardjo Regional Hospital, Tasikmalaya City. Method: This study was a quantitative pre- experimental study with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The total sample size was 43 respondents. Results: There is an Effect of Murottal Therapy on Pre-operative Anxiety of CS with Spinal Anesthesia at Dr. Soekardjo Regional Hospital, Tasikmalaya City with a p-value (sig. (2.tailed)) of 0.000 (p<0.05).
Shelly Sylviani Dewi, Wilis Sukmaningtyas, Rahmaya Nova H, Septian Mixrova S Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1827 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Efektivitas Peer Counseling Berbasis Health Belief Model Terhadap Pengetahuan Gizi Remaja di SMA Kota Binjai https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1830
Adolescence is a critical period for the formation of long-term eating patterns, yet it is vulnerable to nutritional problems. The lack of effective nutrition education in schools is a major contributing factor. Innovative interventions are needed to improve healthy nutritional behavior. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Peer Counseling education based on the Health Belief Model (HBM) in improving nutritional knowledge in adolescents. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test approach without a control group, conducted in five high schools in Binjai City. The study sample consisted of 213 students selected using a cluster sampling technique. The intervention was delivered by 10 students who had been trained as peer counselors using a module developed based on the Health Belief Model framework. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The results showed a highly significant increase in adolescents' nutritional knowledge after the intervention. The average knowledge score more than doubled, from 12.04 at the pre-test to 26.49 at the post-test. The statistical test results showed a significance value of p=0.000 (p<0.05), indicating that the HBM-based Peer Counseling intervention was statistically effective. In conclusion, the Peer Counseling educational model integrated with the Health Belief Model framework proved effective in significantly improving nutritional knowledge among high school students. This approach successfully leveraged the influence of peers as agents of positive change. It is recommended that schools and health offices adopt this model as part of health promotion programs, such as school health programs, for sustainable adolescent nutritional empowerment.
Muhammad Crystandy, Yulita Yulita Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1830 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Dukungan Keluarga Dengan Tingkat Kecemasan Pasien Pre Operasi Menggunakan General Anestesi https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1833
General anesthesia can cause a negative response from patients called psychological responses, if this condition is not handled properly, it can cause anxiety in patients. One of the key factors affecting result accuracy is the type of anticoagulant used, as well as the delay time before examination. This study aims to compare erythrocyte count results using K2EDTA and K3EDTA anticoagulants with three delay time variations: immediately, after 1 hour, and after 2 hours. The study was conducted at Bumiayu Hospital using a comparative quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. Venous blood samples from six patients were analyzed using a hematology analyzer, with six repetitions for each treatment combination. Normality was tested using the Shapiro-Wilk method, followed by a paired t-test to determine any significant differences. The results showed no statistically significant difference in erythrocyte counts between K2EDTA and K3EDTA at all delay times (p > 0.05). The sample size was determined using the Federer formula; however, statistically, this number was insufficient to detect small differences significantly. Therefore, the findings should be interpreted with caution, and future studies with larger sample sizes are recommended. Descriptively, K2EDTA tended to yield more stable and slightly higher erythrocyte values compared to K3EDTA, suggesting it may be more suitable for hematological examinations involving delayed analysis.
Okvi Andraini, Rosmita Anggraeni, Suryanto Suryanto Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1822 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Efektivitas Pemberian Permen Rasa Mint Terhadap Mual Muntah Pada Post Operasi Sectio Caesaria Dengan Anestesi Spinal Adjuvant Morfin https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1825
Spinal anesthesia with morphine adjuvant can cause post-operative side effects, one of which is nausea and vomiting. This condition can increase oxygen consumption, cardiac workload, and patient discomfort. This study aims to compare the incidence of postoperative shivering between patients receiving general anesthesia and those receiving spinal anesthesia. The research was conducted in the Operating Room of RS Tk. III Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang using a descriptive analytic design with a quantitative approach. A total of 48 patients were selected through total sampling, consisting of 24 patients who received general anesthesia and 24 who received spinal anesthesia. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test and Fisher’s Exact Test. The results showed that postoperative shivering occurred more frequently in patients who received spinal anesthesia 23 respondents (95.8%) than in those who received general anesthesia 13 respondents (54.2%). Fisher’s Exact Test revealed a p-value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant relationship between the type of anesthesia and the occurrence of postoperative shivering. This finding suggests that the type of anesthesia influences the risk of shivering, with spinal anesthesia posing a higher risk. However, spinal anesthesia carries a significant risk of hemodynamic changes, such as hypotension and alterations in heart rate, which may affect both maternal and fetal conditions. This study aims to describe the hemodynamic profile before and after spinal anesthesia in cesarean section patients in the operating room of Muhammadiyah Hospital Palembang. This research employed an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. A total of 60 patients undergoing cesarean section with spinal anesthesia were selected using total sampling. Data were collected through observation of blood pressure, mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate, and respiratory rate before anesthesia and at the 5th, 20th, 35th, and 50th minutes after the procedure. The results showed that 41.7% of respondents experienced hypotension at the 5th minute, 36.7% had MAP values below 60 mmHg, and 25% developed compensatory tachycardia. Hemodynamic parameters began to stabilize between the 35th and 50th minutes. This study concludes that significant hemodynamic changes occur after spinal anesthesia, especially in the early phase. Therefore, close monitoring of the patient's hemodynamic status is essential to prevent further complications.
Ayudarni Anggrayani, Amin Susanto , Septian M Sebayang , Asmat Burhan Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1823 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Pemberian Terapi Akupresur Terhadap Mual Muntah Pasca Operasi Sectio Ceasarea Dengan Anestesi Spinal https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1826
Treatment for post-surgical nausea and vomiting can be provided pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. Pain management can be achieved through pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches, including herbal warm compresses. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of warm red ginger compresses (Zingiber officinale Roscoe var. rubrum) and warm lemongrass decoction compresses (Cymbopogon citratus) in reducing joint pain among elderly patients with gout arthritis at the Gandus Public Health Center, Palembang, in 2025. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest two-group approach was applied. Thirty elderly respondents were recruited using total sampling and divided into two intervention groups. Pain intensity was measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), and data were analyzed with the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. The results showed that both warm red ginger and lemongrass compresses significantly reduced joint pain (p = 0.000), but no significant difference was found between the two interventions (p = 0.550). These findings confirm that both therapies are equally effective in relieving joint pain in elderly patients. This treatment can cause side effects, both physical and psychological. Efforts to overcome this situation, which involve theability to solve problems, are known as coping. If the coping mechanismis successful, individuals can adapt and undergo change, but conversely,if there is no change, individuals are at risk of experiencing mental disorders. This studyaims to determine the relationship between coping sources and mechanisms of coping in patients chronic with choronic kidney failure undergoing hemodialysis at the Yogyakarta PDHI Islamic Hospital. This study uses a quantitative approachwith a cross-sectional design. The sample consists of 52 chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis, selected usingaccidental sampling techniques. The instruments used in this studywere an adaptation of Stuart's (2016) coping sources questionnaire and astandard coping mechanisms questionnaire from Lazarus and Folkman, University of California, SanFrancisco, in Ferayanti's (2016) study, which was then redevelopedfor hemodialysis patients with 40statements. The results showed that most respondents with moderate coping resources preferred problem-focused coping mechanisms, while respondents with low coping resourcestended to use emotional-focused coping mechanisms. The Chi-square test results obtained a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05), whichindicates a significant relationship between coping resources andcoping mechanisms in patients with chronic kidney failure receveing hemodialysis. Thus, it can be concluded that coping resources are significantly relatedto the mechanisms of coping in patients chronic with choronic kidney failure.
Meltha Melynia Preza, Sutejo Sutejo, Deasti Nurmaguphita Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1913 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Pengetahuan Dengan Peran Kader Posyandu Dalam Upaya Pencegahan Penyakit Tidak Menular Di Puskesmas Bukit Hindu https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1821
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are a group of diseases that are not caused by infection, are chronic, and usually develop slowly over time. The increasing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) is caused by various preventable risk factors, including smoking habits, unhealthy diets, lack of physical activity, and alcohol consumption. Efforts to resolve the problem of non-communicable diseases in the community require the important role of active community involvement, especially Posyandu cadres. The government also issued a policy regarding Community-Based Health Efforts (UKBM) such as Posyandu which is expected to be able to resolve health problems in the community to detect and control non-communicable diseases (NCDs) early. This study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and the role of Posyandu cadres in efforts to prevent non-communicable diseases in the work area of the Bukit Hindu Community Health Center UPTD, Palangka Raya City. This research uses a cross-sectional method, namely research that. aims to study the dynamics of the correlation (relationship) between independent variables and dependent variables by means of an observation approach or data collection at one time ( point time approach ) with a sample of 50 respondents. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and the role of Posyandu cadres in efforts to prevent non-communicable diseases in the work area of the UPTD Bukit Hindu Health Center, Palangka Raya City. The implication of the research results is that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and the role of cadres, reinforcing that the quality of cadres is highly dependent on the extent to which they understand the tasks and functions in Posbindu PTM . Interventions in the form of regular training, provision of adequate measuring tools and strengthening motivation are very necessary so that cadres can carry out their roles optimally and sustainably.
Tenun Tenun, Putria Carolina, Kristin Rosela Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1821 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Dampak Psikososial Anak dan Remaja dengan Kanker dalam Reintegrasi Sekolah dan Sosial: Scoping Review https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1916
Cancer in children and adolescents is a global health challenge with increasing rates, making attention to quality of life during and after treatment increasingly important. Cancer treatment in children can have long-term effects on physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning that affect children's participation in school and social environments. School and social reintegration are important aspects of the survivorship phase because they shape children's identity, social relationships, and psychological well-being. Still, this process often faces challenges such as social stigma, isolation, and changes in peer relationships. This study aims to map the scientific evidence related to school and social reintegration in children and adolescents with cancer and its impact on psychological well-being. This study used a scoping review design with a PCC approach. Literature searches were conducted in international databases and selected according to PRISMA-ScR guidelines. A total of 12 articles met the inclusion criteria. The findings showed challenges in school reintegration, such as academic delays and concentration disorders. In the social aspect, stigma, isolation, changes in peer relationships, and bullying were the main obstacles. Psychological impacts included anxiety, decreased self-confidence, and quality of life, although some studies also showed resilience and positive growth. School and social reintegration in children and adolescents with cancer is a process that requires ongoing psychosocial support and cross-sector collaboration to improve psychological well-being.
Suci Ayu Kurniasih, Ikeu Nurhidayah,, Nina Sumarni Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1916 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Pemberian Coloading Cairan Kristaloid Rl Terhadap Tekanan Darah Sistolik Pada Pasien Intra Anestesi Spinal https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1824
Hypotension is a common complication of spinal anesthesia due to sympathetic blockade that triggers vasodilation and decreased vascular tone. This study aims to determine the effect of Ringer's Lactate (RL) crystalloid fluid administration via coloading on the blood pressure of patients undergoing spinal anesthesia. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest design involving 42 patients at RS Tk. III Dr. Reksodiwiryo Padang. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test due to non-normal data distribution based on the Shapiro-Wilk test. The results showed that before the intervention, 69.0% of respondents experienced systolic hypotension and 19.0% experienced diastolic hypotension. After the coloading intervention, all respondents (100%) no longer experienced hypotension. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significant difference in systolic (Z = - 5.587; p < 0.001) and diastolic (Z = -5.659; p < 0.001) blood pressure before and after coloading. These findings demonstrate that RL crystalloid coloading is effective in preventing intraoperative hypotension. In conclusion, RL coloading has been proven to help maintain hemodynamic stability during spinal anesthesia. This intervention is highly recommended, especially for high-risk patient groups such as women and the elderly. This study also supports the implementation of coloading as a standard protocol in clinical anesthetic practice.
Junaidi Junaidi, Tophan Heri Wibowo, Wilis Sukmaningtyas, Martyarini Budi S Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1824 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0000
