However, many workplace accidents in Indonesia's informal sector remain unrecorded and unrecognized. This study aims to identify the main factors influencing the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The study uses a literature review method with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) strategy to select valid and relevant sources clearly and consistently. The search strategy uses Google Scholar and Garuda within the timeframe of 2022–2025. The literature search and selection process was conducted over a two-month period, from March to April 2025. Of the 530 articles found in the article search, five were deemed relevant and met the criteria for analysis in this study after screening. Compliance with PPE use in the informal sector is significantly influenced by knowledge and attitude as well as the availability of PPE and workplace and psychosocial factors. Adequate knowledge and positive attitudes are the main foundations for establishing safe work behavior. However, compliance with PPE use in the informal sector still faces various complex challenges. The main influencing factors are the level of knowledge and attitudes of workers, the availability of PPE, and support for occupational health and safety (OHS) socialization. Therefore, improving compliance with PPE use requires education, training, adequate PPE provision, strict supervision, and OHS socialization tailored to the informal sector's characteristics.
Sita Dewi Mulyawati, Mahajendra Arham Widarso Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1689 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Antara Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Remaja Putri Terhadap Deteksi Dini Kanker Payudara Dengan Metode SADARI Di Pondok Pesantren Al-Khoiriyah Banyuasin https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1723 Dalinur Qur’andini, Novita Magumi Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1723 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Efektivitas Peran dan Fungsi Kepala Ruangan dalam Menurunkan Angka Kejadian Insiden Keselamatan Pasien Rawat Inap https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1693
The role and function of the head nurse in nursing services is crucial, as they hold full responsibility for ensuring safe and high-quality nursing care practices. However, several issues related to the role and function of head nurses are still found, such as a lack of control in preventing incidents, limited knowledge of patient safety, and suboptimal development of their competencies. This study aims to analyze the role and function of head nurses in reducing the number of inpatient patient safety incidents in hospitals. The research employed a literature review method by analyzing articles from databases such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and Google Scholar in 2020 - 2024. The results show that the role and function of head nurses are more effective in reducing patient safety incidents. This effectiveness is influenced by several factors, including: (1) limited knowledge and skills of head nurses regarding patient safety; (2) the absence of clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) outlining their roles and functions; (3) lack of managerial support from hospital leadership; and (4) low awareness and commitment among nurses in implementing patient safety measures. Efforts to improve the effectiveness of the head nurse's role and function can be achieved through targeted training to enhance their competencies and the development of clear SOPs related to their responsibilities.
Yeni Susanti, Emiliana Tarigan Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1693 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Pengaruh Terapi Singkat Berfokus Solusi (TSBS) untuk Mengurangi Stres Kerja dan Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Psikologis Perawat https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1697
Work-related stress is a significant challenge faced by nurses, particularly in high-demand hospital environments, and it negatively impacts psychological well-being, job performance, and service quality. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) in reducing work stress and enhancing the psychological well-being of nurses at Banjarmasin Regional Hospital. A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control groups was employed. Sixty nurses were selected through purposive sampling and divided into intervention (n = 30) and control (n = 30) groups. The intervention consisted of five online video-based SFBT sessions conducted over four weeks. Instruments included a work stress questionnaire and the Indonesian version of Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale (RPWBS). Validity testing yielded r-values > 0.423, and reliability testing showed high internal consistency (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.894 and 0.912). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann–Whitney U Test via SPSS version 25. Results revealed a significant reduction in work stress scores (mean: 71.4 to 53.2; p = 0.001) and a notable increase in psychological well-being (59.3 to 74.1; p = 0.000). Participants also reported feeling more confident, calm, and reflective. The study concludes that SFBT is an effective, practical, and adaptable psychological intervention suitable for institutional adoption in hospital settings.
Yulyanti Yulyanti, Yunita Yunita, Candra Kusuma Negara, Ricky Prawira Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1697 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Faktor Risiko Diabetes Melitus Pada Dewasa https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1700 Chesy Sripratiwi, Erike Septa Prautami, Annisah Biancika Jasmine, Rotua Lenawati Tindaon Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1700 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Gambaran Persepsi Ibu Hamil Tentang Skincare Yang Berbahaya Selama Kehamilan Di Puskesmas Boom Baru Palembang Tahun 2024 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1703
Skincare is a series of facial skin care treatments that aim to maintain health and improve the appearance of the skin, as well as address various skin problems. A total of 30 respondents were selected using purposive sampling and divided into two groups: 15 participants in the intervention group and 15 in the control group. The intervention was administered over two weeks through an integrated educational program that actively engaged family members. The instrument used was the Diabetes Quality of Life (DQOL) questionnaire, and data were analyzed using paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results revealed a significant improvement in the total quality of life score in the intervention group from 2.70 to 3.35 (p = 0.001), whereas no significant change was observed in the control group (p = 0.638). The post-test score difference between the two groups was also statistically significant (p = 0.001). These findings indicate that the Family-Based DSME program is effective in enhancing the quality of life for patients with T2DM. Family involvement plays a crucial role in improving treatment adherence, motivation, and patients’ psychosocial well-being. This intervention is recommended for implementation in primary healthcare settings.
Bernadeta Trihandini, Dania Relina Sitompul, Candra Kusuma Negara Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1698 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Family-Based Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) Terhadap Self Care Pasien Dengan Luka Ulkus Diabetikum https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1701
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease with an increasing prevalence and often leads to serious complications such as diabetic foot ulcers. In Indonesia, this complication frequently occurs due to patients' poor self-care abilities, particularly in foot care and blood glucose monitoring, which increases the risk of amputation. Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) is an educational approach aimed at improving patients' knowledge and skills in managing their condition independently. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of DSME interventions in enhancing self-care among DM patients with diabetic foot ulcers. A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach was used. A total of 30 respondents participated in a seven-day DSME intervention that included face-to-face education sessions on foot care, glucose monitoring, dietary management, physical activity, and medication adherence. Self-care ability was measured before and after the intervention using the Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities (SDSCA) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests. The results showed a significant increase in self-care scores from a mean of 17.9 ± 3.4 at pre-test to 22.6 ± 3.1 at post-test (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that the DSME intervention is effective in improving patients' self-care abilities. It is recommended as a standard educational strategy in healthcare facilities to prevent complications and improve diabetic wound management.
Lucia Andi Chrismilasari, Theresia Jamini, Candra Kusuma Negara, Septi Machelia Champaca Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1701 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Pengetahuan, Mekanisme Koping Dan Dukungan Suami Dengan Kualitas Hidup Pada Wanita Menopause https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1704
Knowledge, Coping Mechanisms, and Husband Support are factors that can influence the quality of life of menopausal women. Menopause is often accompanied by physical and psychological changes that may reduce women's quality of life. Low levels of knowledge, the use of maladaptive coping mechanisms, and lack of husband support are factors that can worsen this condition. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge, coping mechanisms, and husband support with the quality of life of menopausal women at Pustu Sungai Pasir in 2025. This research used a descriptive survey method with a purposive sampling technique, involving 65 respondents. The effects of worms can disrupt the digestive system to serious complications that affect other organs of the body. A toddler in Jember complained of difficulty defecating, stomach ache, nausea and shortness of breath and underwent surgery and 3 jars of worms were removed from the toddler's body. This case is a real example of how worms are very dangerous for children in particular. Teachers act as the best educators for students at school, parents act as the best reminders for children at home and students act directly as patients in worm infestation. Worm infections are often found in society, but it is still necessary to find the right solution to reduce the number of worm infections. The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of teachers, parents and students about worms at Smart School Swari Elementary School, Deli Serdang Regency. The research design is qualitative phenomenology with research instruments in the form of informant language through direct interviews conducted. The results of the interview showed that the perception of teachers, parents and students regarding worms is a disease caused by parasitic worms and attacks the human digestive tract. The factors that cause worms are unhealthy lifestyles and uncleanliness of oneself and the surrounding environment. The impact of worms can cause digestive problems, itching in the anus, loss of appetite, weight loss, inability to focus on studying, lack of enthusiasm for studying, anemia. Preceptorship, which involves experienced nurses serving as mentors, is a strategic approach to bridging competency gaps and has been proven to significantly enhance nurses' confidence, skills, and clinical knowledge. This study aims to examine strategies for fulfilling nurses’ basic competencies through the preceptorship method. A systematic review was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines and utilizing Zotero software. Articles were retrieved using the PICO strategy from electronic databases including PubMed, ProQuest, and Google Scholar, using relevant keywords. Out of 2,353 articles identified (PubMed: 129, Google Scholar: 1,030, ProQuest: 1,194), 413 duplicate articles were removed. After screening based on title and publication year, 978 articles remained; however, most were either inaccessible in full text or not relevant. As a result, only seven articles met the study criteria and were further critically analyzed. The findings indicate that preceptorship and mentorship methods play a crucial role in enhancing preceptors' capacity to provide clinical learning. The stability of bilirubin levels in serum is greatly influenced by storage conditions, particularly the duration and temperature. Prolonged storage of serum at room temperature can cause a decrease in bilirubin concentration, thereby affecting the accuracy of the test results. This study aims to compare the total bilirubin levels in serum analyzed immediately with serum subjected to a 24-hour delay at a temperature of 20–25°C, using the End-point method. This research is an analytical observational study employing an experimental design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through purposive sampling by distributing questionnaires to 18 staff members in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Wonosobo. Data analysis began with the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, followed by the Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed a statistically significant difference in total bilirubin levels between the immediately analyzed serum (mean = 0.52 mg/dL) and the serum delayed for 24 hours (mean = 0.22 mg/dL). The significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 indicates that p < 0.05; thus, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. The decrease in bilirubin levels after storage for 24 hours reached approximately 59%. These findings indicate that storing serum with a 24-hour delay at room temperature (20–25°C) without light protection can significantly reduce total bilirubin levels. Therefore, it is recommended that the examination be conducted immediately or the serum be stored in dark conditions, such as wrapped in aluminum foil, to maintain the stability of the bilirubin levels.
Sela Historiani Akhmad, Chairil Anwar, Aji Widyantara Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1705 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan pola makan, konsumsi kopi dan Tingkat Stres Dengan Kejadian Gastritis Di Wilayah Kerja BLUD UPTD Puskesmas Poasia Tahun 2024 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1708
Gastritis, commonly known as ulcers, is inflammation or bleeding in the lining of the stomach caused by an unhealthy lifestyle. The independent variable was the implementation of the SSC, while the dependent variables included patient safety and satisfaction. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the Spearman correlation test. There was a significant relationship between the implementation of the SSC and patient safety (r = 0.472) and patient satisfaction (r = 0.620) with a significance value (p = 0.000) for both. This indicates a moderate correlation with patient safety and a strong correlation with patient satisfaction. Surgical safety checklists play a crucial role in improving patient safety and satisfaction during surgical procedures. Consistent and comprehensive implementation is highly recommended as part of efforts to improve the quality of surgical services.
Nurhaliza Nurhaliza, Erlina Suci Astuti, Marsaid Marsaid, Supono Supono Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1714 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Kadar Kreatinin dalam Sampel Darah 15 Menit dan 30 Menit Sebelum Disentrifugasi https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1717
A clinical laboratory is a facility that performs examinations of clinical samples related to health conditions, including three stages: pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical. Creatinine is a crucial indicator in assessing kidney function and is frequently used in clinical chemistry assessments. Creatinine test results are significantly influenced by the preanalytical phase, particularly the length of time the blood is allowed to stand before centrifugation. This standing allows the blood to fully clot before centrifugation. The aim of this study was to determine creatinine levels in blood samples 15 minutes and 30 minutes before centrifugation. This study used a quantitative approach characterized by a cross-sectional analytical observational design with a sample size of 38 people.Using an SST-type test tube containing a clot activator can enhance the clotting process. Creatinine examination was performed using the Bio System BA 200 instrument, with analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The average creatinine level in blood samples centrifuged 15 minutes after sampling was 0.78 mg/dL, while in samples centrifuged 30 minutes after sampling, the level was 0.79 mg/dL. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank test produced a p-value of 0.706 (p>0.05). The results showed no difference in creatinine levels in blood samples left for 15 minutes and 30 minutes before centrifugation. Further research can be recommended using the Jaffe method using alternative tubes (Plain, Clot)
Fenita Arum Puspita, Margareta Haiti, Agnes Felicia Lubis Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1717 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Tren Penelitian Intervensi Nutrisi dalam Pencegahan Stunting: Studi Bibliometrik dari Basis Data Scopus https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1686
Stunting is a chronic form of malnutrition that has been a global public health issue for many years, with serious consequences on the physical growth, cognitive development and productive capacity of individuals. However, to date, there is no comprehensive map of research trends focusing on nutritional interventions to prevent this condition. This study aims to evaluate scientific advances in the field of nutritional interventions aimed at preventing stunting in children, indexed in the Scopus database between 2016 and 2025. The method used was quantitative bibliometric analysis, which consists of four steps: identification, screening, eligibility and inclusion. The study included publication volume per year, citations, h and g indexes, collaboration between authors and between countries, and keyword mapping using network and density visualization techniques. The results show an upward trend in the number of publications in 2017 and 2022, with the United States and Australia as major contributors and significant international collaboration. Key highly cited publications highlighted the effectiveness of breastfeeding education interventions, micronutrient supplementation and integrated nutrition farming interventions. Keyword visualization identified a major focus on “human, stunting, malnutrition” and the emergence of new themes such as “child health” and “eating behaviour”. In conclusion, nutrition intervention research trends for stunting prevention show significant growth and an evolving thematic focus, so these bibliometric results can serve as a reference for academics and policy makers to determine research priorities and more targeted and effective nutrition intervention strategies.

Lailatun Nazar, Rachma Hasibuan, Rifatul Aliyah, Dina Rahmawati, Hanifa Ayu Ratnaningsih Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1686 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Kepuasan Pelayanan Petugas Kesehatan Dengan Minat Kunjungan Ulang Pasien Di Puskesmas Bukit Hindu https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1720
Patient satisfaction with healthcare services is an important indicator in assessing service quality, especially in primary healthcare facilities such as Puskesmas. The phenomenon at Puskesmas Bukit Hindu shows fluctuations in the number of patient visits over the past three years, with a decline in 2023 despite an increase in 2024. This indicates that patient satisfaction with healthcare services may influence the interest in return visits. Objective to determine the relationship between healthcare service satisfaction and the interest in return visits among patients at Puskesmas Bukit Hindu. This study used a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a total of 40 participants. Data collection using a questionnaire was conducted from June 16 to 30, 2025 and statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. From 40 respondents, it was found that patient satisfaction with healthcare services who were dissatisfied and not interested in return visits consisted of 12 respondents (85.7%), while those interested in return visits were 2 respondents (14.3%). Furthermore, among those satisfied with healthcare services, 3 respondents (11.5%) were not interested in return visits, and 23 respondents (88.5%) were interested in return visits. The Chi-Square test yielded a p-value of 0.000, which is less than the significance level of p < 0.05, thus H1 is accepted, indicating a relationship between healthcare service satisfaction and the interest in return visits among patients at UPTD Puskesmas Bukit Hindu. There is a relationship between healthcare service satisfaction and the interest in return visits among patients. It is hoped that Puskesmas Bukit Hindu Palangka Raya can improve the resources of healthcare personnel, facilities, and infrastructure to support healthcare services
Budi Wijaya, Putria Carolina, Kristin Rosela Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Kesehatan Saelmakers PERDANA (JKSP) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/joh/article/view/1720 Mon, 27 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000
