The research method used is quantitative with a True Experimental Design approach. The study subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which applied the PMRI approach, and the control class, which used conventional methods. Data collection techniques included tests, observations, and documentation, which were analyzed using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed that the Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.001 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. Since there is a significant difference, it can be stated that PMRI has an effect on the mathematical problem-solving ability of fifth-grade students in solid geometry. Therefore, there is a difference in mathematics learning outcomes between class VA and VB. Based on these findings, educators are encouraged to implement the PMRI approach in mathematics learning, particularly in solid geometry topics. By utilizing concrete media and real-world contexts, students can more easily understand the taught concepts and enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Ni Putu Suartini Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal PGSD Musi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-06-15 2025-06-15 8 1 1 14 The Role of Parents in Supporting Assessment and Improving Students Learning at SD Negeri 1 Suka Mukti https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/jpgsdm/article/view/1450
This research focuses on examining how parents contribute to assessment and enhance student learning at SD Negeri 1 Suka Mukti. A qualitative descriptive methodology was employed, gathering data through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document reviews that included parents, teachers, and the principal of the school. Results indicate that parents assume various functions—as facilitators, motivators, tutors, and assessors—within their children’s educational journeys. They offer academic support, track student progress closely, and maintain effective communication with educators. Although they encounter obstacles such as limited time and inadequate educational backgrounds, parents demonstrate a profound dedication to their children’s educational growth. The research also emphasizes the significance of strong communication between schools and families and the necessity for school initiatives that enhance parental participation. Strengthening the partnership between educational institutions and families plays a crucial role in promoting student success and nurturing a more inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.
Gilang Lukito Permatasari Gilang Masagus Firdaus Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal PGSD Musi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-06-15 2025-06-15 8 1 15 25 Analisis Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual Terhadap Gaya Belajar Peserta Didik dalam Pembelajaran Matematika Kelas V SD https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/jpgsdm/article/view/1464
This study aims to examine the relationship between the implementation of the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model and students’ learning styles in mathematics instruction at SD Xaverius 8 Palembang. This research employed a qualitative approach, involving fifth-grade students and their classroom teacher as primary informants. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation using a triangulation technique to ensure comprehensive, valid, and credible findings. The results indicate that the contextual learning model, which includes seven key components—constructivism, inquiry, questioning, modeling, learning community, reflection, and authentic assessment—effectively accommodates diverse student learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Visual learners benefited from the use of visual media, such as images and diagrams. Auditory learners demonstrated improved understanding through verbal explanations, discussions, and interactive questioning. Meanwhile, kinesthetic learners grasped mathematical concepts more effectively through hands-on activities, direct practice, and real-life learning experiences. By aligning instructional strategies with students’ individual learning styles, the CTL model not only enhances conceptual understanding but also fosters a more inclusive, enjoyable, and meaningful classroom environment. This study recommends the implementation of CTL as a strategic approach to improving mathematics learning in elementary school, especially in classrooms with diverse student learning preferences.
Fransiska Amanda Wulandari Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal PGSD Musi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-06-15 2025-06-15 8 1 26 43 PENERAPAN GERAKAN LITERASI SEKOLAH (GLS) TAHAP PEMBIASAAN DI SD NEGERI 1 MAKARTI JAYA https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/jpgsdm/article/view/1519
The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) in the habituation stage at SD Negeri 1 Makarti Jaya. Reviewed from (1) 15-minute reading activities, (2) books read, (3) involvement of educators and education personnel in supporting the implementation of GLS, (4) libraries, (5) there are reading corners and texts in each class, (6) there are reading campaign posters, (7) public involvement (external parties) in the development of GLS, (8) support from the school environment (staff, employees, teachers, principals) for the implementation of GLS, (9) obstacles and solutions. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques with interviews, observations and documentation. Data validity is carried out by triangulation of methods. Data analysis techniques use the Milles and Huberman model. Research results: (1) the habituation stage has been implemented since 2018 when the school was still implementing the 2013 Curriculum; (2) 15-minute reading activities are carried out routinely in all classes before learning activities begin; (3) books read are textbooks and non-subject books; (4) educators and education personnel are involved in supporting the implementation of GLS; (5) students utilize library services; (6) reading corners are not available in all classes; (7) there are reading posters in the school environment; (8) there is public involvement in the development of GLS; (9) the school environment provides support for the implementation of GLS; (10) there are obstacles and solutions in the implementation of GLS.
Olga Sovia Okta Viani Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal PGSD Musi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 8 1 44 60 PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS ANDROID MATERI BANGUN DATAR SISWA KELAS V SD XAVERIUS LUBUK LINGGAU https://journal.ukmc.ac.id/index.php/jpgsdm/article/view/1521
This study aims to develop Android-based learning media on flat building materials for fifth grade students at Xaverius Lubuklinggau Elementary School. The background of this research is the low student understanding of geometry material due to the use of conventional learning media that is less interactive. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model, but only focused on the first two stages, namely analysis and design. This restriction was made due to the limited time, energy, and scope of the research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with the research subject a fifthgrade math teacher. The learning media developed utilizes Google Sites as a means of delivering material and the Educandy application as a medium for psychomotor evaluation and assessment, especially through Multiple Choice and Word Search games. The results of the analysis showed that the need for interactive learning media is very high at SD Xaverius Lubuklinggau, and the designed media design is considered capable of increasing student motivation and involvement in learning mathematics. This research is expected to be an innovative solution to improve the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools through the use of digital technology that is easily accessible and used by both teachers and students.
Amelia Amelia Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal PGSD Musi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 8 1 61 73
