Efektifitas Edukasi Laktasi Terhadap Keberhasilan ASI Ekslusif

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding coverage nationally has only reached 52.5%, still far from the target of 70% in the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of lactation education on the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: The type of research used observational analytics using a cross sectional design. Purposive sampling technique , a total of 46 respondents. Data were taken by observing retrospective data of respondents' medical records. The analysis technique uses the Chi-Square test. Results: The results of statistical tests showed a significant relationship between lactation education and the success of exclusive breastfeeding (pv=0.035). Conclusion: there is a relationship between lactation education and the success of exclusive breastfeeding. Based on these results, it is hoped that it can be additional information that all women who are planning a pregnancy need to be equipped early on about the benefits of lactation, education about the benefits of IMD is also provided during childbirth, and overcomes mothers' doubts about difficulties in breastfeeding through lactation education.
