Pregnancy is an important period that requires optimal support from husbands to maintain the health of both mother and fetus and to prevent complications. This study aimed to analyze education on the role of husband support in the early detection of danger signs during pregnancy among young couples in urban Palembang, using a quantitative cross-sectional design with 43 respondents. The results showed that the majority of husbands were in the productive age group (20–35 years), had a high school education, and were in the early phase of marriage. Most husbands had a good level of education (62.8%), good ability in early detection of danger signs (58.1%), and good support during pregnancy (60.5%), including emotional, informational, and instrumental support.Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between husband education and early detection ability (p = 0.021). This means that the better the husband’s education, the higher the ability to recognize danger signs during pregnancy. Thus, education on husband support plays an important role in improving early detection. Therefore, strengthening couple-based education is necessary to enhance husbands’ preparedness in supporting maternal health and preventing delays in managing complications.
