Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan Dengan Kejadian Hipertensi Pada Lansia di Puskesmas Tulung Selapan

Abstract

Hypertension is a type of non-communicable disease that is the main trigger for high premature mortality rates worldwide. In 2022, South Sumatra Province recorded 1,979,134 hypertension sufferers. The impacts of hypertension include stroke, heart attack, insomnia, depression, stress, and damage to the brain, eyes, heart, arteries, and kidneys, which ultimately can affect quality of life and health. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical activity, obesity, and sleep quality simultaneously with the incidence of hypertension in the Tulung Selapan 2025 community health center. The research design was quantitative descriptive with a population of 30 respondents. The sampling technique was total sampling, the sample in this study amounted to 30 respondents. The research instruments were physical activity questionnaires, sleep quality and observation sheets for data collection for 7 days. The results showed that the respondents studied Most of the respondents had poor physical activity totaling 15 respondents (50%) and those with poor sleep quality totaling 23 respondents (76.7%) and those with obesity totaling 18 respondents (60%). The results of the physical activity variable P value 0.005, the sleep quality variable P value 0.026 and the obesity variable P value 0.045 where this value is <0.05. It was found that there is a significant relationship between physical activity, sleep quality and obesity with the incidence of hypertension in the Tulung Selapan Community Health Center. Suggestions for research in community health centers, this study can help create a more effective Public Health program to reduce hypertension in the elderly
