Gambaran Pengetahuan Remaja tentang Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS) pada Era Digital di SMK Pasundan Jatinangor
Abstract
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) remain a global health problem, with more than 374 million new cases each year (WHO, 2024). Adolescents are a vulnerable group due to their developmental stage, which is influenced by social environments and digital information exposure. This study aimed to describe the level of adolescents’ knowledge about STIs in the digital era at SMK Pasundan Jatinangor. A descriptive quantitative design was used, with an adapted Indonesian version of the Sexually Transmitted Disease Knowledge Questionnaire (STD-KQ), which had been tested for validity and reliability. The population consisted of 530 students, with a sample of 245 respondents selected using the Slovin formula (5% margin of error) and stratified random sampling. The results showed that most respondents had a low level of knowledge (197 students; 80.4%), and the majority obtained information from digital media (123 respondents; 50.2%). These findings indicate that although adolescents have broad access to digital information, their understanding of STIs is still limited. More structured and media-appropriate reproductive health education is needed.
