Caring is how nurses understand meaningful events in one's life and are emotionally present, doing things to others just like doing to oneself, informing and facilitating one's way in undergoing life transitions and putting one's trust in living one's life. Caring behavior must be instilled and become an inherent culture in nurses in providing nursing care so that every action or care that can be given as a form of satisfying client needs. This study aims to determine the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and patient compliance on hemodialysis at Mitra Sejati Hospital Medan. This type of research is a correlative descriptive research using quantitative methods with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling using total sampling technique with the number of respondents as many as 42 patients. Data collection using questionnaires in the form of closed questions. The analysis test used is the Pearson Chi Square correlation test with a confidence level of 95%. The results of the analysis test using Pearson Chi Square showed that there was a close relationship between the caring behavior of nurses and patient compliance on hemodialysis (p < 0.000, r = - 0.003). It can be concluded that the caring behavior of nurses is related to patient compliance in running hemodialysis at Mitra Sejati Hospital Medan, where the higher the caring nurse, the lower the patient's non-compliance in carrying out hemodialysis, if the lower the nurse's caring, the higher the patient's non-compliance in carrying out hemodialysis. Nurses are expected to increase care for patients to improve the quality and compliance of patients in carrying out hemodialysis
