Abstract

Purpose: Serving as a facilitator for Catholic children and adolescent have particular challenges. The main challenge is how to build effective relationships with those from generation Z and alpha, who have specific characteristics. Therefore, it’s  necessary to enhance facilitators’ knowledge of child and adolescent psychology

 

Design/Methodology/Approach: Psycho-education for facilitator that aimed to increase understanding of the developmental stages and characteristic of children and adolescents, also creative mentoring strategies. This program was collaboration with the facilitator of Catholic Children and adolescent.

 

Findings: The number of participant was 42. The results indicated increased facilitators’ knowledge of child and adolescent development. Participant assessed this program went well.

 

Practical Implication: This psycho-education provided understanding of how to interact with children and adolescent. It’s also provided insight for facilitators in exploring creativity when designing activities for Catholic children and adolescent.

 

Original value: Creativity in making teaching materials from used goods and using and utilizing gadget.
