Professional Quality of Life is an indicator of the quality of life experienced while working, particularly by helping professions such as nurses. Identifying Professional Quality of Life is essential for maintaining the quality of services. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach, employing a total sampling technique, resulting in a response rate of 89%, comprising 33 active nurses. To identify Professional Quality of Life, the researchers used the ProQOL-5 instrument. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution and percentage, median values, and item-by-item statement analysis. The study found that most emergency department (ED) nurses had compassion satisfaction in the moderate category (75.8%), with a small portion in the high category (24.2%). Meanwhile, in the burnout dimension, the majority were in the moderate category (78.8%), while the rest were in the low category (21.2%). The measurement of secondary traumatic stress showed that most nurses were in the low category (66.7%), with a small portion in the moderate category (33.3%). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Professional Quality of Life of ED nurses at X Hospital is in a positive category. However, the burnout aspect still requires improvement through counseling, exercise, and nurse resource management.
