Pengaruh Air Rebusan Daun Alpukat Terhadap Penurunan Tekanan Darah Pada Lansia Dengan Hipertensi di Panti Sosial Harapan Kita

Hypertension or high blood pressure is an increase in blood pressure above normal, namely 140/90 mmHg and can result in a risk of illness and even death. There are many ways to lower blood pressure, one of which is by using boiled avocado leaf water. Objective: The aim of this research is to determine the effect of giving water boiled with avocado leaves on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the Harapan Kita Social Home in Palembang in 2024. This research uses a two group pre test post test design quasi experiment. The population in this study was 40 elderly people suffering from hypertension at the Harapan Kita Social Home in Palembang. The sample in this study used a total sampling technique. This research was conducted for 7 days. The results of analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test in the systolic and diastolic intervention groups obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), while in the control group the systolic p-value was 0.657 and the diastolic p-value was 0.351 (>0.05 ), , analysis using the Mann-Whitney U Test obtained a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. there is an effect of giving boiled avocado leaf water on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension at the Harapan Kita Social Home in Palembang.
