Hubungan Pendidikan dan Penghasilan Kepala Keluarga dengan Kriteria Rumah Sehat

Healthy home is a key indicator in achieving a certain level of public health. Education and income levels are believed to influence the condition of healthy home. This study aims to determine the relationship between education and income of the heads of households and the criteria for healthy homes in 13 Ilir Urban Village, Palembang City. This study is a descriptive-analytical study using a cross-sectional approach. The population of study consisted of all 90 heads of households in RT 09 RW 03, 13 Ilir Urban Village, Palembang City. A total sampling technique was employed which means that the entire population served as the study sample. Data were collected through observation and interviews using a checklist based on the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No 829/Menkes/SK/VII/1999, in May until June 2025. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods, specifically the Chi-Square test (crosstab). The results showed that the majority of respondents had a junior high school education (67.8%) and an income below the City Minimum Wage (UMK) (75.6%), while 67.8% of the houses did not meet the criteria for healthy homes. Bivariate analysis indicated that there is a significant relationship between education (p=0.001) and income (p=0.001) with the condition of healthy homes. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between education and income with the criteria of healthy home in 13 Ilir Urban Village, Palembang City in 2025.
