Efektivitas Self Instructional Module Terhadap Tingkat Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Wanita Premenopause Dalam Menghadapi Masa Menopauase

The Self-Instructional Module is an educational medium designed to optimize individual knowledge and attitudes independently. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Self-Instructional Module on the knowledge and attitudes of premenopausal women in facing menopause in the Lima Ilir area, Palembang City, in 2025. The research employs a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total of 64 respondents. The research instruments consisted of knowledge and attitude questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t- Test. The results showed that prior to the intervention, the majority of respondents had low levels of knowledge (93.8%). After the intervention, there was an increase, with 93.8% of respondents categorized as having high knowledge. Regarding attitudes, before the intervention, most respondents showed negative attitudes (92.2%), whereas after the intervention, 93.8% of respondents displayed positive attitudes. Statistical analysis revealed that the use of the Self-Instructional Module significantly improved the knowledge and attitudes of premenopausal women in facing menopause (p-value < 0.05). In conclusion, the Self-Instructional Module is effective in enhancing the knowledge and attitudes of premenopausal women in preparing for menopause. This intervention is recommended as an educational strategy that can be implemented in healthcare services to help women prepare more effectively both physically and emotionally for the menopausal transition
