Chronic kidney disease is damage to the kidney organ that is no longer able to filter waste and fluids from the blood effectively. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and personality type with psychological responses to palliative care in patients with chronic kidney disease. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique used a total sampling of 51 people. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire sheet containing family support, personality type, and psychological responses. Data analysis consisted of univariate and bivariate analysis, bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between family support and psychological palliative care in patients with chronic kidney disease and there was a relationship between personality type and psychological responses to palliative care in patients with chronic kidney disease. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between family support and personality type with psychological palliative care in patients with chronic kidney disease. It is recommended that hospital management increase education for patient families so that they always provide good support for family members so that they have a good psychological response in undergoing the treatment process.
