Abstrak

Emergency is a life-threatening injury or non-injury situation that requires immediate assistance. This incident can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone including in schools, where school students are a high-risk group for emergency incidents, because there are many possible things that can happen to this group because they spend more time at school. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of simulation methods on the level of student knowledge about initial handling of emergency incidents in the school environment. The research method used was pre-experimental design with a one group pretest posttest design approach. The sampling technique used was a total sampling of 43 respondents of grade XI students. The research was conducted in July 2024, the place of this research will be conducted at MAN 1 Pesisir Selatan Data was taken using a questionnaire and observation, after being collected, data processing was carried out and continued with statistical tests. Results The level of student knowledge before being given the simulation method was still relatively low, with the majority in the less category (43.3%) and an average knowledge score of 58.20. The conclusion is that the level of student knowledge before being given the simulation method was still relatively low, with the majority in the less category (43.3%) and an average knowledge score of 58.20,
