Pengaruh Terapi Manipulasi Terhadap Peningkatan Lingkup Gerak Sendi Bahu Pada Frozen Shoulder Sinestra

Abstrak

Frozen shoulder is pain that results in limited range of motion (LGS) in the shoulder. It may arise due to trauma, it may also arise slowly without signs or history of trauma. This situation usually causes symptoms such as not being able to comb because of pain around the front side of the shoulder. The pain is also felt when the arm is raised to take something from a shirt pocket, this means that active movement is limited by the pain. One modality to increase the range of motion of a joint is providing manipulation therapy exercises. Manipulation therapy is a passive movement that is moved suddenly, with small amplitude and high speed, so that the patient is unable to stop the movement that is occurring. The goal is to improve the joint play movement and thereby correct the roll-gliding that occurs during active movement.To determine the effect of manipulation therapy on increasing the range of motion of the frozen shoulder joint at Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Jakarta. This type of research is Quasi Experimental, with a Pre and Post Test With Control Group Design research design. The sampling technique uses Purposive Sampling. The total sample was 16 people consisting of 8 people in the treatment group and 8 people in the control group. The modality given is exercise therapy in the form of manipulation therapy for 4 consecutive weeks with 3 sets of repetitions every week. Measurement of joint range of motion using a gonometer. Test the normality of the data using the Shapiro-Willk test, then continue with hypothesis testing with the Paired Sample T-test and different tests using the Independent T-Test. Research Results: Based on statistical testing, significant results were obtained with a P value of 0.0001 where p < 0.05 which means Ha is accepted. This means that there is an effect of giving manipulation therapy on increasing the range of motion of joints in frozen shoulder sufferers. Providing manipulation therapy has been proven to have an effect on increasing the range of motion of joints in frozen shoulder sufferers.
