Pengaruh pemberian edukasi pencegahan risiko hipertensi terhadap pengetahuan pada remaja di LPPA Domby Kids Hope Yogyakarta

Teenagers now have a higher prevalence of hypertension (29.28%). One of the main causes of hypertension in teenagers is a sedentary lifestyle, which includes being overweight, eating a lot of fatty foods, eating few fruits and vegetables, staying up late, and not exercising. The goal of this study is to ascertain how teaching teenagers at LPPA Domby Kids Hope Yogyakarta about hypertension risk prevention affects their understanding of this topic. This study used a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest methodology with a descriptive experimental design. 35 respondents were chosen for the study's sample using the total sampling technique. Pretest and posttest questionnaires were distributed as part of the data gathering procedures. Of the respondents, 48.6% are late adolescents and students, and 57.1% are female. According to the research findings, 91.4% of respondents had strong knowledge after receiving education, compared to 62.9% of respondents who had inadequate knowledge before to school. The paired t-test analysis revealed a p-value of 0.000, and the normality test results indicated that the data were normally distributed. It may be inferred that there is a relationship between educating teenagers at LPPA Domby Kids Hope Yogyakarta about hypertension risk prevention and their understanding of the topic. Teenagers are encouraged to lead healthy lifestyles, researchers are encouraged to carry out more studies on the impact of knowledge on behavior related to preventing hypertension, and medical professionals are encouraged to produce creative content that includes health information about reducing the risks of hypertension
