Analisis Faktor Yang Berhubungan dengan Tuberkulosis Paru di Wilayah Kerja UPTD Puskesmas Lubuk Rukam Tahun 2025

Abstrak

Introduction. Tuberculosis can also be caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which affects the lungs in 80% of cases. The source of transmission is a person suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis who tests positive for acid-fast bacilli (AFB) and transmits the disease through saliva or sputum. This study employed a cross-sectional design. The study population comprised 125 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis aged between 25 and 50 years within the catchment area of the Lubuk Rukam Community Health Centre (UPTD Puskesmas). The results showed that out of 80 respondents, 16 (20.0%) had poor knowledge, whilst 64 (80.0%) had good knowledge. 27 respondents (33.8%) had a negative attitude, whilst 53 (66.3%) had a positive attitude. There were 20 respondents (25.0%) who reported no family support, whilst 60 respondents (75.0%) reported having family support. There were 31 respondents (25.0%) who were non-compliant, whilst 49 respondents (61.3%) were compliant. Bivariate Analysis: The results of the statistical test using the Chi-Square test showed p-values of 0.003 for knowledge, 0.025 for attitude, 0.002 for family support, and 0.001 for medication adherence, indicating a significant association between knowledge, attitude, family support, and medication adherence with TB incidence at the Lubuk Rukam Community Health Centre.
